Chunky Black Silver Ring
This Ring is made by pouring sterling silver into a sand mould and then using a stone hammering process to get it to size. The ring is then completely blackened and afterwards is refined and polished to make the overall look. The texture of the making process is emphasised by its dark tone and then framed by a smooth professional fit and polish.
This piece could be forged from a meteorite or hammered on a medieval anvil. the darkness of the ring makes it look slightly mysterious and like all of my rings no two are identical.

This Piece has been Blackened which is a surface reaction.
Like any Blackened ring: as it is worn the oxide will fade from the high points of the texture but will be kept in the less touched lower parts of the texture.
Because of this; this ring will change over time. But the result is still beautiful as the tone slightly emphasises the surface making it look more dramatic.
